I've started to use my Edge when running but I hate to carry it all the time. Can I use a cell phone holder to clip it on my belt or will that screw up the sattelite reception or HR strap signal?

I've also been thinking about using this setup for certain rides when I want to record information without actually seeing it (i.e TT's). Will the unit still pick up all the info or will a phone case block it out?

My 305 can pick up the satellite signals from indoors, so I'd expect it to work just fine inside a case.

Good point, I didn't think of that.:o I'm going to try a cheapo neoprene case and see how it goes. Thanks for the help!:)
