I want to get a program so I can put together a movie from my cross country trip. Anybody have suggestions??? I'm using a 7 MP point and shoot, and the video camera is a sony mini dv.( I would have rathered something else, but it works the best with a helmet cam)Any ideas would be great, as windows movie maker is seriously pissing me off....

thank you all, both those suggestions sound great. Windows MP and MM was killing me, and the software that came with my P&S isn't so hot. It's much easier to set up, but when moved to a full screen, it doesnt look good. On a side note, 15 days till departure.

I bought it last year, and I have found it very intuitive and easy to use.

My wife uses Adobe Premiere Elements. She prefers it over several others that she has used.
Windows Movie Maker 2. It's probably the easiest to use and it's already on your computer most likely, which makes it sort of free. http://www.papajohn.org/
