i had an analog speedometer on my bike when i was a kid. so 25 years ago or so. looked just like a car speedometer, a needle for speed, and an odometer. probably costs less to make the digital ones these days.

lol actually i may still have it, the bike may lurking around my parents house somewhere, was a star 10 speed if memory serves, no reason the speedometer wouldnt still be on it. :)

The analog speedos have to measure the speed by contact w/ the wheel, while it doesn't slow you down much at all, it's not frictionless like the digital ones. Maybe they make a digital analog speedo nowadays :P

edit: search ebay

You like gauges? Check out Shimano's old CI-Deck for their Comfort series!

For those that like to make their bicycles look like motorcycles.

(Actually, these are more guages than most motorcycles have!)

p.s. Oh yeah, I think there's a tach in there somewhere...
