Anyone?

There are two things on my mind this Sunday morning:

1) I've been on vacation for two weeks and I don't wanna go back to work tomorrow!

2) I don't wanna sit on a bike saddle for a couple of days. (not that I'm all that sore...just had enough!)

What other activity can you think of where all you do is sit on your ass all day?

Wound up doing a very short 17.5 mile ride ... just enough to get the legs spinning.

You are truly committed....or should be! Hey, great seeing you again yesterday! I'm looking forward to hitting the roads with you in Nocal again.

Yea, I should be committed. But that's nothing like the recovery rides that ME and Magicant does ... like the 81 mile recovery ride they did the day after the Tour de Santa Barbara century ride in April.

If you live close to san-fernandy-valley, Sunday rides are the best recovery rides from a long Saturday ride. We stats at cSun (Nordhoff & Etiwanda) and you can find the group that riding your speed (from 14 to 24).
Today it was arround 28 miles, but because I am riding to cSun and back I ended with 41miles.

I did a short ride with the Foothill Cycle Club. About 20 miles. Felt great on the flats, but any hill at all made me realize how tired I still was.

Still, it felt good to get questions about the century from club members. Most don't do centuries, for some reason.

I just came from one for 45 miles; at least that was the plan. Couldn't help myself in the rolling hills area, but my avg HR said so otherwise even though avg speed was really low even by my standards. Got dropped by many cute and beautiful ladies along the way... hmm, that may explain the high HR. ;)

Gadzooks ... I didn't know they were still around. Are all they old timers still there? Tom? Sandy?

What! No pictures? Any guy who mentions cute and beautiful ladies, and with no pictures ... unacceptable!

They're still there--Tom, who is around 85, hasn't slowed down a bit. Huge powers of endurance, and climbs hills like a goat. Sandy is a fast, aggressive rider; I've been dropped so often by him that it's a habit. Of course, at 68 I'm approaching the old timer category myself, but I'm a slow old timer, unfortunately.
