I'm wondering if it will be good tubing, or just 4130.

4130 isn't bad. I used to think it was generic garbage too, but after actually riding the BMW Gangsta Track (straight-gauge 4130), I've got a real appreciation for it now.
I doubt it'll be any heavier or crappier than any bargain track frame (fuji, schwinn, khs, etc.)

FBM makes solid BMX bikes, and they make them by hand in the basement of a factory in Binghamton, NY. Used to be in Ithaca, NY, but moved after their place burned down. The guys their know what they are doing... when it comes to building BMX bikes at least. I'd rock an FBM frame if they go on sale, Ithaca is only 30 minutes from my parents house, and Binghamton is pretty close too. The FBM factory is awesome, its in the basement of a factory that was turned into a skate park. FBM in the lower levels and skate park up top.

Stamped track fork ends, if that tells you anything.

Yes and no. Technically, track bikes don't have dropouts, the rear end is sometimes called a fork too.

That's laser cut.
4130 is industry standard in terms of cromoly tubing, and save for air hardened alloys, it's actually quite a few notches above in quality relative to what's available to make a bike frame. An overwhelming majority of name brand bike-specific steel tubesets are, in fact, 4130 in composition, and differ only in wall thickness and butt length specified by the manufacturer (this holds true wheter your frame/tubes are US, Italia, "English", or asian).
End lesson from interbike. :D
Someone should mention that part of the proceeds of the FBM go to the care of Stephen Murray, a badass dirtjumper who broke his neck in competition earlier this year. He has a young kid and a wife.

Interesting to see what comes of it.
I rode a FBM Angel of Death frame, i was legit... HEAVY, but legit.
Would it be requisite to run a FBM RedNeck Stem on one of these????
subsistbmx@hotm

You mean the S&M Redneck ? or are you thinking of the FBM Bottleneck, with a built in bottle opener ? Either way. The answer is YES.

^^^ Damn-it! i was thinking Bottle Neck, but for some reason typed RedNeck.
Either would be required i think.
