I know everyone has seen the movie but what about the TV series?
It was on TV in the UK here in the mid 80s and got me into cycling believe it or not.

Anyone have this series recorded or know where I can get it?

yes it's for real, and it did run here in the states.
I believe that the only character (actor) who transitioned from movie version
to T.V. was Moocher. I don't recall too much about the series other than I thought
it was kind of lame after the movie. From what I can tell there were 8 episodes created
of which only 7 made air time.
