Is a small amount (1mm) of play normal for a sealed Campy Chorus/Record bottom bracket? I just picked up an eBay bike with a late 90s Chorus crank & newer bb. Seller says the bb was new two years ago but I can detect 1mm side-to-side. I've ordered a new bb, but wondering what the standard is nowadays in any case.
Thanks.

I have a '06 Chorus triple sealed bb with 4600 miles and there is absolutely zero play in any direction. I believe your is badly worn but may be usable for a while.

There should be no play ONCE INSTALLED. There can be play when it is not in the bike. Slap that puppy in there, torque 'er down good and give'r a wiggle.

Just say no to PLAY. New BB time, mate.
