I remember seeing an Izumi chain with rainbow links on ebay a while back and I just noticed one on the tokyo fixed thread, anybody know where to find one? I would like to get one in the future. :P

You could always just buy one of each of the KMC colored chains and build your own...

That would take so much effort and not look as cool.
But it would probably cost the same amount...

Actually, I'm convinced it would look cooler because you could make it exactly how you wanted to. Do it!

If you made a bunch and sold the rest, you'd probably come out well ahead.

not me, that chain would be weak as hell from all the link breaking and reassembling.

In my worst nightmares.
Do any of you old geezers remeber the days when chains came in black or nickel, and that was it? GOOD GOD, how did we survive?
OK, my semi-satirical rant is over. I'm just play-hating on the colored chain trend. Trend, just don't forget that. Trendy. Trendster. Trend-rific.

Or maybe he just wants a chain that has multiple colors in it?

I'm right there with you on this one. But other than that I have nothing to add to this thread.

A local mechanic here actually did this.

i keep switching back 'n forth between black 'n gold chains over the past two years, and i've got enough spare links lying around between both that for months now i've been tempted to do a black/gold chain.
instead, i've got a black chain with a single gold link on my peloton. its uh.. its actually kinda girly.

i think mixed chains are sweet, if you like it go for it, as for a multi color izumi chain... hmm i'd be interested too. i've seen a good amount of people buy big packs of the colored kmc's and make them though, it'd be kinda a cool thing to: between all your buddies buy a couple chain packs and mix them all up for cute matching color chains.
also the aspect of the blended color when you ride is kinda neat. i always wanted to do a black and white chain
z-chains ftw buy a dozen of em for the price of one izumi

The Izumi chain has really vibrant links unlike KMC's, my bike may be hip-tabulous but I can give you a reason for every part on it except for their color.
P.S. I ride freestyle like (and sometimes with) the guys in the cadence east coast vid if you want to hate me more.

Plus it's an Izumi and probably hella stronger than my Pyramid gold chain.
