hi!

i'm new to the bmx thing, and i'm probably going to buy a haro shredder 1999 bike that comes equipped with these black five spoke rims.

i would like to know what the pro's and con's are for these kinds of rims.
i read somewhere that the brakes won't be as effective on these compared with alloy rims, is this true?
won't i be able to do proper endos?

thanks for any help!

The only real advantages of mag wheels are looks and maintenence (or lack of it). If you can afford it, get some wheels with chrome rims (real shiny, not just plain ally), preferably 48 spokes too. Chrome is by far the best for braking, but plain ally or black rims are still about 4,330,986,923,408,234 times better than mags :)
