Hoping for a few more thoughts from experienced Cannondale owners 08/26 - Thanks - I am interested in ordering a Cannondale disc/cyclocross set up., I am confused by Cannondale's sizing. Typically I ride a 58 cm bike but feel the stand over height would be way to tall & I fear the 56 would have too much drop from seat to bar height. Would anyone be so kind as to provide me with their [B]56cm[B] optimo cyclocross seat height from the center of the bottom bracket, and then the difference in height from the seat to the floor and the bars to the floor(Handelbar drop). My dealer doeas not stock 'em and Cannondale would not provide either - the info would be of great help and time appreciated. Thanks - Andy -

hey there,
sorry i don't have the 56, but i do have a 52 optimo cross bike. my regular road bike is a 54cm.
i'm not sure of the specific measurements for the bike you're thinking about, but i will tell you that you are right, the standover is very high on this bike. at first i thought i needed to go down to a 50 but that would have required a really long stem. i have a 120 on there right now.
the bike otherwise is great, but yeah, the standover i think is kind of high. especially for getting on and off the bike alot and going over bumps etc.
A 58cm Cannondale road bike would be similar to a 56cm Cannondale cross bike in geometry.
