Put a brand new (but old, have had it for a few years) Hed3 disk on my bike to test it out before a race this weekend, after a few miles noticed some noise, stopped and there was noticeable side to side play in the wheel. Took it off, and looks like the cartridge bearing is loose in its seat, see attached photo.

Am I hosed? Or can something be done with a shim or insert or different bearing size?

Sending it back to Hed. Sounds like maybe there was a shim that fell out at some point, they say the wheel can be fixed.
