OK, now that I can think straight! As I said before, the ride and general organization was great! The route was fun and for the first half, the weather was great except for that pesky headwind.....which switched to a headwind on the way back, incidentally! I also got rained on......the Voler Wind Jacket is nicely waterproof, by the way and ventilates nicely too! I got video up to the second SAG stop at Adams mills and the covered bridge, after which I ran out of batteries for the camera. The Samsung S800 is a bettery hog, by the way! Great image resolution and MP4 format, but the color balance is a bit on the green side and I still am dependent on Windows Movie Maker for video editing. :(

Well, here's the view from my viewpoint of the Sizzling Century. Guys and Gals, you all need to come to Kokomo to do this ride next year! Enjoy the videos and the AC/DC!

The rain wasn't too bad. It was actually quite refreshing as it came during the time when I was with the group of fast riders and I needed every form of cool down I could get. :D

Bummer that the camera ran out of battery right at the bridge. I think I caught up with you guys not far away from that point.

Very nice! I want to ride there!! Are there really as few stop signs and as little traffic as it appeared in the videos?

Who were the guys in the orange/blue jerseys? They looked like they were really struggling with that tire.

Nice! At some points it looked like "The Highway to Hell" with ruts and grass, at others it looked like smooth asphalt.

Those were some of the guys with the Breakaway Bike Club, helping Chris out. Airing up his tire with a minipump, one of those guys accidentally snapped the presta valve on Chris' rear tire. **NOTE** Don't use a minipump on a Presta Valve unless it has a hose!

Hmm.. i'm using a minipump on a Presta valve... so far so good. It just takes a huge amount of concentration and strength to keep the pump steady, contributing more exhaustion to an already mangled body :D

You ever see 'Hot Shots' where he cooks bacon and eggs on the woman's stomach? That's how sizzlin' the ride is :D

It is usually very very hot for the ride. This year was nice besides some of the rain.

By the way, Ryan, your sprint is in the middle of Part II.

Looking good. I thot about going but chickened out Saturday night. So far I have been riding 10-12 miles and am no where near being ready to try 100.

That said, I know those roads well. I paddle my canoe on the Wildcat and Deer Creek and that route follows both valleys. A good friend of mine (Garry "Muskrat" Hill) laid out the course.

Looks like I missed a good ride, maybe I'll be ready next year.

Not sure about the music, ACDC?

Seemed appropriate for a Century ride. Good beat and a lot of raw......;)
