sounds girly, yes. cool looking, yes
i thought it would be cool to make a bracelet that is made of a chain, preferable a really small one (not for biking). i was wondering if anyone knows where to get really small chains or an actual chain bracelet.
i think my cousin had one of these, not 100% sure, but if he did, i know he had it put on so it doesnt come off without a chain break. but one thing, what about rust?
I actually made mine out of a real chain with a few normal links and two SRAM powerlinks...it allowed me to have extra chain when I ride if I break mine.

but did u wear it when u werent riding, u know, as just a chain bracelet? i just think it would show how much i love biking :)
Wore it all the time...even with my suit to a funeral.

sweet, i am fixing someones bike and i needs a new chain, how many links do u usually need to take off? just an estimate. id like to try and find a smaller chain locally tho, since it wouldnt hurt as much, and should you wear it on your writing hand or not?
Smaller chain...writing hand...? Just use what's leftover from your next couple chain replacements and it will be a good mix of form and function.

sounds good, and use a chain tool to put it on and take it off? if i do find a smaller chain ill change to it, and try and figure out a clever locking system :D
This is why I used the powerlinks.

ive done it before, with an old chain, but the power link i got back from the bike shop was different than the one it went in with so when i put it on, one side of the wuick link was 8 speed the other 9 speed. it took a couple days of destroying my fingers to get it off. it looked cool but my dad decided it was to goth. it also began tpo irritate my skin, even after i made sure there was no lube left on it.

nice, lube is not good. did u find any rust problems with it? and for a smaller chain, are there any stores that would sell them?
This is why I used the powerlinks.

thats why i plan to take it off while riding, especiallly on trails, though if i fell on it it would leave a rather unique scar :D
