Mountain Biking - Dart 1 vs Dart 3

I don't see the difference in the three Dart-series forks. I understand that you *can*
possibly put upgrades on the 2 and 3 series including a better preload adjuster and
a lockout etc, but when you just get a base, no frills fork, what is the difference between
the Dart 1 and the Dart 3?

My questioning has stemmed from my recent purchase of a clearance '07 Trek 6000. I just
found out that the stock '08 has the Dart 3 while mine came with a Dart 1 :( :( lol :rolleyes:

The Dart 1 is like poop. The Dart 3 is like poop with a cherry on top.

Just enjoy the new ride w/o thinking about the extra raisin that got left out of your box of raisin bran.

You probably wouldn't notice it. If it ever dies...get a Tora. Probably won't die though...unless I ride it. I seem to kill everything these days.

i believe that was me, when i had the fork in my hand i could bottom it out without a bike in sight(not actually true, i was in a shop, but you get the point.)

I did that with a "custom air" suspension piece for light duty trucks in a Sears once. Really scary.. haha
