New levers for the mid-70's bike. It's on it's way to becoming something.. Commuter, single, fixie. At least it will stop.
Got new brake inner cables as well. $3.00 each from REI. Nice to find something that isn't a zillion bucks.

Subtle Berry and Mild Melon HEED. I bought the big standard jar of each so it's a commitment to liking the taste. Pearl Izumi Pro gloves with the red gel inserts. The PI Slice gloves were quickly destroyed on the palms from riding the fixed gear bike and standing for long periods. I also added some Fizik bargel to the bull horn bars. Defeet thin baselayer and a Castelli net looking base layer.
Fishnet base layer?
You beast!

I hope it's comfortable under a jersey. Don't worry, I'll only wear it by itself when drumming on stage with the band!

I just won an Ebay auction for a SunRace 11-25 9-speed cassette for $6. Good range for my CX bike which has 34/46 rings.
Also got a Pearl Izumi Focus slim(form)-fit jersey off Chainlove for $18.00. I almost bought the same jersey at the Pearl Izumi "Outlet" in Gilroy for $38. What a crock that place is, nothing is Outlet priced.

The entire Gilroy "outlet" is a crock nowadays.
Unless you live somewhere reasonably close the money spent on gas driving and idling there offsets anything you save, which is precious little.

Them make a day of it. Combine your outlet shopping with some time at the hot springs or go fishing/boating at Coyote Lake. Me, I'm only 15mins from the Vacaville outlets.

Where are there hot springs near Vacaville?
Canon 40D with kit(28-135) lens.
Also picked up a 17-55 f/2.8 IS and a 55-250 IS lens.
I've had a lot of free time on my hand. Haven't been on a bike(longer than 15 mins) for 3 weeks. Iritis in my right eye, have been limping around with only 1 eye.

Think he was talkin about the Gilroy Hot Springs.
My wife said the same thing about the Pi Outlet.. I'd have to agree.. other then having a good selection of Pi stuff there is no reason to go all the way to Gilroy, unless you're going to rock the Tierra Bella
B.O.T:
Wife: Specialized Jett
Me: Specialized Toupe
Both seats made their debut on the wheelsucker ride.. mine may move back a half centimeter but other then that its good.

SRAM's road group is nice stuff. Got Rival on the Folder and Force on the Carbon. I like the hoods better than Shimano. The 2009 stuff is getting trickle-down technology from the Red Group. The Rival is going to be a really competitive group.

I watched the preview of it on the rbr forum, looks pretty darn good for their lowest price road group.
OK. My core has been feeling a bit neglected as of late. After the Garmin 705 purchase, this has probably been the best bike investment yet (http://books.google.com/books?id=rOa0CfxgaoUC&dq=catflexing&pg=PP1&ots=Y5AirhYghy&sig=Lc8-RmT8lMr5AswAwihhn7QVmDI&hl=en&sa=X&oi=book_result&resnum=1&ct=result):

Just picked up one of these. Brilliant is the only way to put it. No spider web straps to deal with. Goes on/off < 1 minute.
http://mos.bikeradar.com/images/bikes-and-gear/accessories/car-racks/CYP197.racks.saris1-400-90.jpg
nice!
word of advice (from experience with same rack): don't pull too hard on the straps that prevent a bike from swinging. while they should be tight it's possible to brake the piece that attaches the strap to the arm of the rack. so, adjust these straps carefully. Saris will warranty it though without any problem :).

Total impulse buy I now regret, ultegra brakes. Not that satisfied with my tektro brake calipers. Saw a thread about Microsoft's livesearch 20% ebay discount. So I grabbed a set. First, turns out probikekit would've been cheaper. Secondly, after thinking about how much I spent realized the brakes didn't bother me that much. Money would've been better spent on a saris bones rack.

1 - I also ordered my 5 Pass Jersey last Friday.
2 - Last night I ordered a Park Bike PCS-10 repair stand, been needing one for a long time
3 - Yesterday was my sons birthday and I gave him a $150 Apple gift certificate for an iPhone G3, he is going to have to make up the rest himself.

Oh yeah, I sent in my $ for the DR jersey too. I don't like this "fax us your CC info and you might get a package from us in 8 weeks" nonsense. They haven't charged me yet, how do I know that they got my fax? That was a week and a half ago. *shrug*
I'm so fred-ing out my "road" bike (often gets mistaken for a touring bike anyway)

I think that VO rack looks nicer in that picture than it does in VO's own picture. Be sure to post up some pictures of the finished product. :)

Grr. I just emailed info@deathride.com and they said they haven't seen my order form.
Time to fax in another. What are the odds I'll end up buying 2 or 3 by the time this whole thing is done? I'll have to fax in a note along with it, saying I want just one, and asking them to confirm...

I just bought the Easton EA90 SL wheelset. Should have 'em on Friday.
http://www.eastonbike.com/images/P-wheels/wheel_ea90sl_SET_'06.jpg
Any recommendations on cassette? I have the SRAM OG 1070 on my current wheelset and was thinking of just swapping it over, but I might get another cassette so I have two fully usable wheelsets. Any preference between the OG 1070 and the Ultegra? They weigh about the same but the Ultegra is $20 cheaper on Jenson.

Get the Ultegra cassette. IMO, shimano cassettes shift slightly smoother than SRAM. It's cheaper here:

many sizes, free shipping, no tax. Just takes a couple of extra days to get here from over the pond.

Matt, don't you already ride a set of Ksyrium ES/SLs?... That was you right? Are you becoming a closet wheel w-hore? :)
How much are the IRD cassettes? They seem kind of intriguing, too.

I wish the Ksyriums were mine. They're my neighbors wheels. He has a broken arm right now so I .... borrowed them. It's his fault I'm buying new wheels now. I didn't know what I was missing :D

Thanks, all :) I picked up the Conti GP4000 S tires tonight and will be getting a 12-27 Ultegra cassette when the wheels come in. I'm going to ride with the Wheelmen Sunday so my friends at Mike's said they could get me all set Friday or Saturday when the wheels show up. This weekend is looking to be a blast :)
I bought an Arione saddle to replace my Toupe. Haven't gotten to ride it yet so I don't know how good or bad it feels on the bum! :)
