Set of WTB Weirwolf 2.3 tires for my mountain bike. I hear good things about them for local trails.

Those are pretty nice tires. Heavier than I like to run (since I'm an XC weenie and usually run 2.0s) but I did use those last winter and they were great. I'll be putting them back on my bike for the wet season this year too :)

Been riding with my dorky transition glasses for way too long... I'm losing my last piece of Fredness with these. . .
In-Frame Rx is friggin' expensive but dang they're comfy.

Are those Rx? What's the maximum prescription you can have? I am -6.75, and It gets a bit windy riding with my regular glasses with clip ons.

They are Rx and they're going to be in-lens which cost a little more. These were $370 total. They make an Rx insert that most people opt for that's a little cheaper and I'll bet they are the way to go for you. Go to rudyproject.com and find a local dealer to see if they can go that far. These are the most comfortable sunglasses I've ever tried. Love em'!

I have had a pair of Rudy Project Rydon for the last 4 years, they are great. I like the polarized photochromic lenses. They vary in intensity according to ambient light preventing me to carry an extra pair of lenses for dark conditions.

my Ergomo broke down (but they claim they can repair it), so I ended up getting DuraAce SRM Pro (non-wireless version) :)

Hmm, maybe I should go with 2.1 on the rear.

I guess it all depends on what you're doing. I generally do a lot of climbing, trails are fairly smooth and fast. I'm not jumping, or riding big rocks or stunts or anything.

Pricey, I'll think about those though.
In the meantime, I ordered these for about 1/10th the price :D

Been going a little overboard with Chainlove. In the last month, I've purchased two mtb shorts, a long sleeve, a short sleeve jersey, a gore windstopper jacket, and bib knickers. Scary thing is I don't "need" them but just can't resist the deals. If they were selling willpower, I'd probably buy that too!

Hey, I got some Conti GP 4000 as well, exhorserider. My previous set of ultras was beat, and I was never happy with their crappy flat resistance. Hopefully the vectran in the 4k will be a bit better against glass in the roadway.

I love buying stuff! This has been a pretty good week for that too.

The fit kit for my new shoes arrived yesterday, tracings and impressions made, and it's back out today. They tell me it's possible that I'll receive them before the month is out :thumb:.

Today I finished up the adjustments to my bike to improve the fit. This included a conversion to threadless style stem, the stem, and new bars. It feels a LOT better, though doesn't look as nice. Oh well.

I've been running the 4000 S for probably about 1k mi now, so far so good. Flat protection is on par with my old gator skins( so far ). Since these tires were mounted, I've been cornering much faster, the tires sticks to the road much better than the gators, or Hutchinson pros I've used before. When these are done, I'm probably gonna try a pair of Utremos, I hear they are even stickier and uses the same Vectran tech.

I have been let-down by the 4000's. I don't feel like they grip worth a crap. I had high hopes and am left disappointed. That, and they seem like they're wearing out rapidly quick. Hopefully the 4000S (Black Chili) are better for you Matt.

Cevelo P2C, Dura Ace. Oh Boy, even upgraded the Cervelo brake calipers to DA. Gonna have to give the wallet a rest for a bit after I replace the cassette (and maybe the base bar/aerobar set up). This sport is killing me.

When I got home from work the other day UPS had delivered this:

My Park Tool PCS-10 bike repair stand

http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh48/jwill911/ParkPCS-10-2.jpg

Picked it up from Alfred E. Bike, $145 including shipping. Some sellers wanted $30 just for the shipping. Quite a sturdy stand, with all quick release operation.

New HRM - the wrist band disintegrated on my old one. Damn these things are cheap now... The first one I ever bought was in 1990; it had a display the size of a deck of cards, it cost $100 on sale and had pretty much one function plus an alarm (not even a clock). This new one was $35 and has a dozen functions... buttons are a little too small though.

I've been buying boring stuff. Tricia ripped 2 $50 tires in one week. They musta had only 50 miles on them. Glass cuts. Not her fault at all, but a drag...

Then I bought tires for me.And a bunch of tubes.
And chains for our 4 bikes. Dull, expensive. but necessary.

I bought a pink road wheelset from King. They are horribly slow shippers. And my room mate in Florida has been a dick about sending them to me here in SF. It's been over a month. Oh, patience.

I turn 26 tomorrow. I might do a solo century if I get them in the mail tomorrow if anyone wants to tag along.

The Rudy's came in on Friday. The lenses were put in the wrong frames so the guy walked over to the display and swapped them out with the store model. I wore them out of the shop and didn't notice until I put them away at work that they were ALSO the wrong frame (my faith in humanity needs to diminish a little). I called and left a voicemail but no reply by the end of business Friday. WTF!?! They're my 2nd choice and I "like" them (a lot, but STILL). Wore them all weekend, and my report... A+ prescription sunglasses. Geez! They are amazing. Can't wait for the correct carbon frame.

I've been talking to my wife about this one all weekend. She's preparing for my sales pitch about needing a commuter... (no way in hell I'm locking that to a bike rack. It'ud park in my office just like my hyphy-Trek)
Is it really over $800 though..? That part is a little . Might settle for a Kilo instead and save $500, but man!!! If there were a Langster for me, that be it.

Hi Redspoke,
Yes, apparently Specialized thinks their Langster line is popular. Even the guys at my LBS are concerned about the raise in base price. But being born in Japan (Army brat), I couldn't resist.

I joked with my wife last year after buying my New York Langster, that if they ever came out with a Japan city...I'm all over it. Who'da thunk it would be the following year. So at least my wife was warned...:o...but the couch has been comfortable....lol
