Got (yet another) rear saddle mount bottle cage holder for the folder. This one extends out past my thighs better and has a sideways mount. Hopefully this is the one.

A pair of bibs and some speedplay Zero's. I love the bibs! And the pedals work great too.

Pair of Mavic R-Sys wheels from Craiglist.
At 1350gr (from my balance) they are 240gr lighter than my 2003 Ksyrium SLs and super responsive. Pushing the pedals results in instant wheel rotation, getting out of the saddle is amazing. I have ridden them in 4 outtings now, I find them stiff yet comfortable and very stable and efficient when cornering.
Only negative was a pinging noise in the front wheel that I finally solved today, the metallic tube stem was hitting the rim section (hole is a bit wider than on other wheels I guess) when hitting road bumps. Some tape around the stem stopped the noise.

Not sure yet.. that is step 2.. step 1 is get the bike. If I had to look at the pictures.. I would say on the top of the downtube. But I was thinking, why not get it on the top of the toptube that way it is more traditional being top to bottom. I dunno.. back to step 1. Get bike.

I just bought a CSC podium cap and cycling cap for $2.99/ea at Competetive Cyclist. I've wanted to get a cheap cycling cap for a while but I don't care for anything too colorful like most of the team ones are. But since the CSC cap is pretty much white and only $3 I decided to get it.

I also got some Park Tools tri-hex wrench tools.

Ah yes! The 3-way, an indispensable part of every mechanic's tool box.

I just received a new Hydration pack (Hydrapak Big Sur) for MTB'ing, and a set of Maxxis Raze CX tires.

I've had them for awhile on my neo-retro. I like them very much: very supple, very round which inspires confidence in the corners.

One slight con is that they seem to wear a bit faster than Continentals or Vittorias. And that's why I was buying a new one for the rear. But it's a small trade-off given the excellent ride and very reasonable price.

I my LBS build up this bike using some extra parts I had at home. I thought it was time to keep a second road bike around, just in case.

I brought it home and noticed that the top of the (front) tire was rubbing against the brake caliper. So it's back at the shop waiting for a replacement fork from Look.

Thanks Guys. The original plan was to build up a beater but it turned out nicer (and more $$$) than I initially planned on. Even with Centaur parts, it exceeded my budget.

Blast: the 555 is available as a frameset only, but since it's special order, the LBS won't budge much on pricing.

Won a ebay auction yesterday for a nearly new Fi:zik Arione wingflex for $40. Bigger bonus is the guy selling it lives IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD so I met him at our local coffee joint for tradeoff. Already took it for a 26-mile spin... :thumb:
Did I mention it was only $40... :thumb::thumb::thumb:

Centaur alloy cranks are nice (I like the look better than the carbon, plus they are a great deal). You have joined the ranks of Ramon and I.

Haha, yeah no new bikes for either of us until after the wedding ;)

But yeah, that is the Record (not Super record) 11 speed group with the C-Dale BB30 Cranks on that 09 Super Six.

You should get the new FD anyway, because I read that they are very tolerant of cross chaining (which I do a bit on the compact setup).
