Are you going to be able to get it broken in sufficiently by then? Mine have been comfortable from day one (at least once I got the alignment worked out), but some people haven't been so lucky. Don't be afraid to nose it up more than looks proper. :)

I picked me up some fahn-say I-talian pleather shoes this weekend.

They should really make these with a softer sole, and market them as slippers. Super-comfortable, just kind of a challenge to walk in.

Any recommendations on a decently priced bike rack? I have one bike and a Dodge Neon w/ a spoiler.

Thanks in advance!

Was the lube kit from the same company that sold you the 305, bib shorts, socks, and rim? :D

They're expensive by trunk rack standards, but the Saris Bones is the best one I've tried and are shaped to fit over most spoilers. I picked mine up at Performance in Walnut Creek, but I'm not sure if they still carry it.

I bought a new saddle for my commuter. This one is harder but more aero and much lighter. Guaranteed to add +1-2 mph on my average commute speed.:D;)

Didn't buy, but just sold $250 on eBay! My Motobecane frame, Cane creek Brakes and Paul e-Lever. No one wanted my shoes or my shimano ultegra clamp on front deraileur, darn it.

Now the fun part: Shipping all this stuff.

Still up for grabs, the deraileur, a 220 gram SLR style seat, Ritchey 40cm ergo drop bars. I'm considering selling my 53cm 1987 Cannondale Black Lightning. Want any of this? You know where to find me.

I recently bought this for my commute. Since there's been alot of ignorant and reckless drivers out there, I thought I'd get better protected.

Depends on where you get it. There's several bundles you can get. The cheapest I saw was $500, the most was $700. I did the $700 bundle... it comes with heart rate monitor, cadence, a data stick, and whatever else. Didn't do too much research to be honest.

I hope you're on a reliable airline, with all the trouble of late. I just hope they get it all figured out before my mother in law comes to visit.. otherwise she'll be stuck here:eek:

I'll see you at the Tour! My ATA flight leaves two days after yours!! :p

I did buy some new gloves and two tubes. I had to get new gloves because I tried a trick I heard about for making the old velcro sticky again. You are supposed to heat up the velcro with a hair dryer to curl them up so it grabs again... well... if you get too close to the surrounding material with a HOT hair dryer it'll burn a hole in it! Uumm... that's what I hear...

Plus, it didn't seem to work anyway... Doh!

My Dad built a TT bike out of a Ciocc in the 90s (with Campy Record)

He gave it to me when he got a new bike (Landshark), but we ultimately sold it.

Bossman, that is a great looking bike!

The coaster brake of my daughter's bike locked up on the way back from school last week.

So we bought her a Girl's Trek MT60. Daughter wanted a turquoise bike (color being the major criteria for a 7-year old), and they had her color. She looked really happy graduating to a bike with hand brakes and shocks (with a whopping 1" of travel - there is definitely not 50 mm of usable travel with the fork on this bike). I can't wait to do some off-road rides with her.

Lady helping us out at Chain Reaction in Los Altos was great to work with.

Bought this a couple of weeks ago at a garage sale:

http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e157/sesamecrunch/Moulton1sm.jpg

It's a 1970 Moulton MK3. 16" wheels, full suspension. Very innovative bike for its day. I'm in the middle of restoring it. It now looks like this:

http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e157/sesamecrunch/Moultonpaint2sm.jpg

I've got some wheels coming from another small-wheel fanatic in England, who replaced them in his rebuild project. So, it'll have international donor transplanted wheels.

It'll be a 3 speed, fully suspended cruiser. Should be fun to ride when it's all done!

Found this on Craig's list. A Fuso has been on my crave list for a long time and out of nowhere a 53cm shows up in Black. I'm going to strip everything and have Shaw's tweak the rear for 130mm spacing. The plan is Campy Chorus Compact since I already have some of the parts from the Pedal Force. It's not totally safe to ride as is, the left crank arm has an impressive crack a few inches long.

It's pretty fun.

Very shaky and weird at first, but we got the hang of it pretty quickly.

The seller got out his single and came out with us, since he lives on a very steep hill.

He said there was a nice stretch of flat road at the top. He said, we could push the bike up and start up there if we wanted.

I said, no I think we can make it.

Next thing I knew, I was pounding it up the hill, and we totally dropped the seller on his single bike. Not bad :)

I'll have a story with pics in a new thread when I get a chance.
