Still working on the Azuki and I need to get a 25.8 Seatpost. (The one that came with the bike is Shot). I am finding brands like Kalloy, Promax, RockWerks and Uno online but can not find out much about them. Any advice on what to stay away from? Or for that matter, what makes a good seatpost a good seatpost?

unless they have updated their carbon stems, stay away from the specialized stems....the one and only time a bought one, it has such a screwy tensioning system where the bolt would hit the underside of the saddle and made it impossible to tighten the clamp to the rails of the seat....booooo

Did you mean stem or seatpost? A stem is for the handlebars.

I have a factory carbon seatpost on my specialized roubaix and the adjustments on it seem to work very well, especially for making a fine adjustment in seat tilt. I think making a broad statement about all specialized seatposts based on your singular experience is too far reaching.

Kalloy is inexpensive, not very light but solidly reliable. They are OEM on a lot of bikes and a lot of other "brands" are rebadged Kalloy posts.

Such as Rockwerks and Promax.
