I know that this has been discussed before in terms of which forks meet the needs of a tandem but I'm wondering if anyone can suggest a good place to score a road tandem fork (hopefully for less than retail)? I'm looking for a fork to use with a road brake caliper on out time trial specific rig. Probably a Reynolds or Alpha-Q. Any suggestions?

Try rockymountaincyclery on ebay. email Tom through ebay. They sold us a new rear tandem wheel via private auction for 30% off retail. Do not know if they deal with carbon tandem forks.
You can also post a wanted on the Tandem Mag site
I went through exactly the same process and have some tips:
I bought an AME from ebay for $380something, which is a good price I believe (or it would be if I didn't have to pay VAT and import duty to the UK).
However, the process to get it that price was certainly not worth the saving. Let's say I had what I would call a 'learning experience' and will not be doing business with the vendor again. The vendor "Ride-This" basically strung me along for a few months and only sent the fork after I had asked to cancel the order.
The learning experience is not to be strung along for more than a few months. Ebay's dispute process won't deal with claims more than a few months back. Also you can't leave negative feedback, which is a pain as I have no way of highlighting this issue to others.
I also looked on Air Bomb, but read numerous online horror stories about them melting down, and was unimpressed by their response to emails (i.e. they didn't reply) so I didn't want to do business with them.
A quick flick through google also reveals that eBikeStop is doing the 41mm rake tandem fork for $360, so you could get a good price there perhaps.
Whether the fork is any good remains to be seen - it's in a big box in the shed waiting for me to have time to fit it. It certainly looks nice.

The Winwood Muddy Disc Cross is a carbon cyclocross fork that is tandem rated. I think it can be fitted with a (probably long reach) road brake caliper. AFAIK it's the least expensive tandem rated carbon fork.
