I am pretty sure I am. It's on Saturday 9/1/07. It would be my first century (started riding 4 months ago). I heard it's pretty flat so that would probably be a good "first time" for me. I did a 77 mile solo ride a couple weeks ago (ride report here (http://bikeforums.net/showthread.php?t=333452)) that, I think, was slightly more hilly (at least according to mapmyride.com), even though it was mostly flat. That 77 mile ride took a lot out of me but I finished (previous long ride was 38 miles). I've never ridden in a group so that will be a new experience for me too. Will do my best not to wipe anyone out!! :D. I'm planning on trying to keep about a 15 mph pace for the ride so I don't burn out too fast (guess I won't be going off with the elite peleton :D). I'm getting new grips on my bike (Ergon GC2) because my hands had some numbness after the 77 mile ride and I'm getting a cyclo computer because I have trouble pacing myself ;) :D.

Who else here is doing this? I'm looking forward to it!!

You are really doing well! 4 months and already riding a century? I fell like a whimp for only doing the metric.

I was on track to meet my goal of making Clarksville my first full century, but my riding buddy and I were chased by a dog on July 4. He took her down and she's still suffering with a broken pelvis. I would not ride for a while. Add in the triple digit temps, and there ya have it for me.

Thanks! I've just loved turning those cranks the past 4 months. I'm not going to break any speed records but I think I've got a shot at finishing. Wish you could be there so I could meet you!
