lol! I usually wet my head down after I take off my helmet and then shake off the water like a dog.
Hahahaha! rest assured... your in good company. I just don't have a pic of my helmet hair!
My hair looks like that when I show up to work, even after only riding 1/2 mile.
It's probably because my hair is usually still damp when I put the helmet on.

Looks better than the 4 1/2" scar down the left side of my face!
Those are what I refer to as waves of glory.
I think it's really cool. At least it has some style. My hair just looks like it went through the wash and spin cycle.
"At least he has hair", says one of my follicle-challenged buddies.
If I had any hair I'd for sure have the super helmet hair. I got some thick hair that when left uncheck goes for the "kid n play" look (don't say you don't remember those dorks).
Although getting burned in little patches on my shaved head has left me looking like a leopard, I'll dig around for a pic of that.
That's a relief! I thought this was a thread about that HelmetHead guy that makes 3000 posts an hour about Vehicular Cycling in the A&S forum. I can't bear to read that forum anymore...
BTW, you helmet hair is not so bad. I end up looking like Lyle Lovett after a ride (sorry no pics).

I thought so too...that's why I hesitated to open it!
hey..at least you can flatten down your hair..
4 1/2 hours and a lapse of judgement by forgetting to put on sunblock and i got friggin' cornrow tan lines on my forehead from this weekend..

I have to wait until I peel or even it out somehow... :(
Helmut hair is my haircut litmus test. About the same today.

Here's my helmet hair half-way through the downhill in Mount Diablo last Saturday

:o
I don't have a problem with my hair, as it's long and I can just keep it tied back.
But I do usually have little indentation marks on my forehead for a little while afterwards....
Hehe. Me too. Mine goes right across my forehead almost like a big wrinkle.......*checks mirror* Hey wait.........
Without any knowledge of this thread, my wife insisted on taking the
following pic. as I returned home from a late ride, tonight.

..right after she stopped laughing.
Hey Zorrov..you work at Amgen? Or is that a charity ride jersey?
I used to have these problems too, but I ended up shaving my head. Now I have to wear a bandana when I ride in the summer or I get helmet-vent tanlines.

The few, the proud, the brave....those who read A & S :p .
[sorry, not giving anyone a view of my helmet hair! The glowing little red spots on my forehead are bad enough, but the helmet bangs are over the top].

I wish I had enough hair to have helmet hair. But I made a poor choice of ancestors. ;)
Hey Zorrov..you work at Amgen? Or is that a charity ride jersey?
No, it's the jersey from the "Breakaway From Cancer" charity bike ride last year (december 2006). It was a nice 25 mile bike ride in San Francisco, starting From the Marina to Lake Merced and back. It was fun, because George Hincapie and Robin Williams were there, both riding on the leading group :D
