I was having quite a lot of fun being the only one around and zooming around cubicle and partition land when, to my annoyance, I felt my rear tire go over a small bump and in the space of two cubes it was completely flat. Ah! But I am a smart bicyclist and I never leave home without a 15mm/10mm wrench, tire levers, and a tube and patch kit! My preparedness will save the day! All I needed to do was go back to my cube and fix it all up!

Got the wheel off and sitting next to me while I rummaged through my bad and came up with all of the aforementioned tools .. except the tube and patch kit :( Not only can I not zoom around the office, but now I have to walk 5 miles home.

Ze Ninja Bike (with wheel on, but chain not tensioned so dont worry about it!)

Is that a drywall anchor? Where the hell did that come from?

I dont know what it is. It came from a parts bin I assume. Its a normal screw inside a casing that has sharp edges and a pointy top.

i'm sure i'll heal up fine, just a bunch of road rash and a swollen ankle.

the bike's not a complete loss but the front wheel's taco'd worse than i've ever seen and the fork's bent to hell.

so it's basically trashed, even though the frame itself looks straight... the guy who hit me was nice about making sure i was okay and sticking around. i'm pretty sure he got a ticket out of it, but at least he did the right thing.

and it was my road bike, which i was planning on selling. so i won't sell it but at least my fixed gear/daily ride is how i left it.

didn't mean to steal your thunder though. i got a flat on my fixed in california and had a 7 mile walk home... it's no fun.

the real kicker is that i was on the ride to show a guy from craigslist the bike to see if he wanted to buy it... and he did! we were going to wait till friday so he could get a ride over from a friend. if only he had cash i would have sold it and taken the bus home:(

I was office biking late one night to blow off steam when I was brand new at the place I work now. I was coming into a corner too fast and had to grab a fist full of brake (road bike) and I left a big long black mark on the carpet. After inspecting the rest of the "course" I found two other small skid marks. I was the only only one who rode a bike to work everyone would know it was me, and since I didn't want to risk having to leave my bike outside or something I had to buy some carpet cleaner. It took me about an hour to remove the marks.

When I was in high school, I worked as a janitor in an office building/warehouse. One of the offices had a nice road bike parked in it sometimes. I used to office bike on that bike from time to time. When my co-workers saw me doing it one night they insisted that we take it to the warehouse and do timed laps. That was seriously the best job I ever had, we used to have so much fun.

I remember seeing a few vids of office biking... some including jumping down stairs... was a redbull thing if I remember correctly... looked like a blast. My office is too small. :(

Duct tape the tires and you won't leave marks... it'll slide easier... not sure if that's a plus or not :D

Late night office janitor was probably the most fun I'll ever have while getting paid. No bike hijinx, but we got into plenty of other ****. It got even better when we found where the boss kept his keys to the roof.

I ride mine right up to my desk every day, straight through the halls of USF's College of Education. I almost hit the dean once. Fortunately she didn't recognize me and I still have a job.

+1 on getting on the roof. The dumpster was about 15' from building, so we'd get stuff out of the trash, take it up to the roof and play dumpster basketball with coppiers and computer monitors and stuff. God that was fun. It was kind of a pain to clean up all the stuff that didn't make it back into the dumpster (or bounced out!) but so worth it.

That's badass. One of these days I'm going to bike right through the doors of my school and start yelling at people in the halls as I sail by at 18mph. Gotta find someplace indoors to lock it so I have an excuse.

Yeah man. During the move out days at my dorm in college they kept the double doors and the gate in the lobby open. I would just ride straight in and past the person working the desk. Riding inside is fun...

About four years ago, the Wal-Mart in my town was closing down. My friends and I skateboarded all around the inside, powersliding like crazy, grinding the display racks. It was the most amazing experience. Something I've wanted to do since I saw the Mighty Ducks rollerblading through the mall.

When I was little my friends and I would go to our elementary school, and we would take our bikes, skateboards and roller blades up there and ride around the roof tops. A few of my friends have fallen and broken their legs/arms, then they put a 10ft fence up around the school a year later. Kinda sucked cause then we had to climb a 10ft fence just to play on the roof tops or play basketball or soccer or anything at the school. we've found TONS of balls though, it was great

During critical mass last month I rode though a Express/Gap type store. It was funny, the people working there just looked at me like I was crazy but didn't say a word. Somebody shot some camera phone video, I'll post it up if I can get him to send it to me.

Office biking is fun. Night shift and riding mtn bikes down four flights of stairs was the best. Loading dock drops, also. No longer allowed bikes in the building, but I don't think it was because of us.

I used to work at a snowboard/ski warehouse that also had a skateboard department, so we all used to set up boards during the spring when no one was coming in and skate around the store and build ramps and grind the little stair cases that were all round the place....those were the days
