Ok, I live in La Habra. I work in Anaheim, across from Angel Stadium (St. College & Katella).
I'm looking for a good route to use when I ride to work.
Google Maps says that (from Fullerton) Raymond to East (evidently the same street) to Ball to St. College is the best way.
Is that right? The La Habra to Fullerton parts are easy -- I ride that routinely. I've not ridden on Raymond/East though.
Thanks!

Where in Guate-La Habra do you live? Maybe I could give you a better route just add a couple miles. East St is not bad (fresh paved) but there is no bike lane and you end up riding in the gutter. If it's early enough in the morning traffic is not bad on that stretch. Personally from the LaHabra/Brea area I would take Lambert over to Kraemer Blvd south to the river bed or to Miraloma turns into Sunkist all the way to Katella. I've done both and time wise about the same.
I live about 2 football fields west of the Costco on Beach and La Habra.
I used to take Lamber to Kraemer to SART, but that seems like it went really far out of the way. Plus going over the 91 on Kraemer is the suck.

I agree that's why I went down Miraloma(turns into Sunkist) Much better. Miraloma has no bike lane but your on it for about a mile and little traffic. Sunkist has a bike lane for a couple miles then it's all Industrial right before the staduim. Bike lane ends at Ball so it's a little sketchy till you hit Cerritos. Good luck.
Sorry to hijack but are there any good climbing routes in the area, specifically around Brea? I've brought my bike to work with me to spin a little after work a couple times but it's pretty flat around Associated/Imperial.

Take Birch(east) to Kraemer(L) to Lambert(R) do an out-n-back through Carbon Canyon. Nice work out. 20 or so miles round trip should take a little over an hour.
Thanks WCD, I'm going to drive the route after work today and bring my bike with me tomorrow.

If you are coming down Sunkist you can easily go East on Lincoln and catch the river bike road which pretty much takes you to your front door.
East St. basically sucks from Orangethorpe on down. No shoulder and crap load of cars. Anaheim Bl is a much better alternative without too much trouble and risking death, although there is some road construction going on. Past Ball Rd, make a left onto Cerritos. That will get you to the back side of the Pond/Anaheim Stadium/SART.
