I`ve just broke my Syncros seatpost, ok its about three years old, but i thought such an expensive product would last longer!
I don`t like bad products, but this is no bad product, Syncros has quiet a reputation, so why did it break? :irritated

That certainly stinks. I love the double-bolt design on those which is now showing up on cheaper posts.
I am surprised to hear this because the Syncros (at least the Hardcore version) was considered to be quite good. Are you a very big guy? I know that the company is now owned by GT, but I think that was within the last three years so that wouldn't have affected the quality of your post.
You may as well contact GT and see if they'll replace it. I have heard both good and bad things (mostly bad) about their support of Syncros products, especially those made before the takeover. Of course GT itself is in limbo right now so it may be a waste of time.
The latest 'must-have' seatpost (which I have not tried and which is also very expensive) is the Thomson (lhthomson.com) but a few people have even broke these posts according to the reviews at mtbr.com.
Oh well, three years isn't too bad.
Was it titanium? My mate has had his for a few years now and its holding up well. He's about 80-85kgs and does Cross country racing.
Shame about your post as these don't come cheap.:(

I visited the Syncros website, and there`s no new one for me, i`ve lost my ticket wich is your warantycard, pretty stupid!
The seatpost was an "ordinary" alu with two top bolts, its very strange, my weight is not that heavy (65 kg) and it cracked when i bumped on a pavementpart at low speed ???
If you never want to have to replace a part, but Titec. Of course that is just their advertisement. But my buddy has Titec parts that he has had forever....about 5 years....
