Hey all, I could use some pointers, tips and general directions on a couple things.

First, I want to reverse my brakes.(right = front) but am having issues as to how to get the cables out. I'm assuming I just swap cable/housing from one to the other? The hoods are off and the cables are disengaged from the calipers but now i'm stuck...

Secondly, I purchased some Vittoria clinchers for my open pros..right now I have what came with the bike-wtb all terrain..I can take those off/on but for the life of me I can't get these new ones on.

Use new cables. Life is too short and brake cables too cheap to fuss with the things.

Simply pull the old cable out through the lever, swap the housings from one side to the other and then thread in the new cable. This assumes you've got enough housing length to do this.

I have no idea what your tire problem could be. Some tires a go on pretty hard and some rims are difficult and sometimes you get a combination of the two that can be very frustrating.

It is an inanimate object. It must, eventually, respond to reason.

I know that swapping the brakes is popular in cross but I'll probably switch back to "normal" after the season. I'd have done it earlier but the switch would require me to do all my bikes at once since I wouldn't want some to be one way and others to be another.

My advice is to leave well enough alone.

Switching back and forth is not a good idea. All of my bikes are moto now and stay that way year round. No reason to do it any other way, except that's how most bikes come from the store. But if you don't see a reason to change, then stay with what you've got.

coming from motorcycles, i just have to have the front brake on the right.. plus it's my only bike
