At another forum I frequent, there is a forum just for references threads. For example if I am pleased with a deal, I start a thread named "______ is a good buyer" or if I got burnt, "BEWARE OF ______". This lets future buyers buy with peace of mind from sellers who have had good references, and also lets them keep away from buyers that got shafted. If I wanted to deal with a person, I could look up their name, see that they've completed three good deals in the past, and proceed without hesitation. I think it'd be a great idea for this forum to implement that idea as well.

I've never seen such a thing. It sounds as if it could be landmines waiting to go off, and I think the moderators here have enough to keep them more than busy.
