We'll be there, doing a half (metric)....hoping it doesn't rain as bad as last year....at least this year it's supposed to be warmer.

we should be rolling lazily up to the start around 6:30-7 am

If it's really rainy we'll be watching tv and chilling at the Drossos motel.....stop by and play a few rounds of miniature golf?:D

No, I found that ride to be too rainy.

+1 Last year I spent something like $90 to ride 40 miles, half of which was in pouring rain. Since thunderstroms are forecast for Sunday I think I'll sit this one out.

dang!

y'all are putting the whammy on it for sure!:p

I know last year was way too wet and cold - and the forecast looks rainy this year....

but at least it'll be warmer. We're hoping to get through it a bit drier.

funny, cause glen always promises it won't rain!

in any case, we already pre-paid to register, so I guess we're committed......we booked a room out there cause we are lazy and wanna play miniature golf

This ride rocked. No rain, great temperature.

Ditto that, the ride was great. I packed a jacket in my saddle bag, which helped insure it wouldn't rain.

me too! I never used the windbreaker stuffed in my jersey.

This was especially great after suffering in the cold & wet last year. I wish we had trained more and done the 100.....we actually wimped out and did only 50 (came out to 54 on the computer), but aside form getting a lot of bug bites at Orient point, it truly rocked. great weekend.

A lot more fun without the monsoon of last year

3400 feet of climbing doesn't sound right.

Glad the weather worked out. I skipped that ride for the Woodstock Century upstate. Rained a bit in the morning, but cleared up very quickly. Great, scenic ride.

so cool.....I gotta get one of those.

was that max speed hit going downhill?
haven't done the 100 yet; on the 50 and 66 there were no hills.

Yeah, the only hills were on the portion exclusive to the 100 mile route, which were right before entering then exiting Wildwoods park

it's actually less, MB usually exaggerates elevation, i'd be surprised if there was over 3000 feet of climbing...

I used to run at wildwood all the time....I don't recall it being very hilly....some elevation near the edge along the water (kind of a hike walking up from the beach) but not too bad.

still, I'm glad there were NO hills on the 50!:D
