I'll have to leave the car at home, so won't be able to drive to a ride on Saturday. Anyone up for a ride from the Rose Bowl area?

Its called the Montrose Ride. It leaves from Descanso Gardens at 8:10 am sharp, c ya there

Just to verify - what TJ's we talking about? And where do you guys get on Huntington? I might just wait for you en route -

I might join you guys too - heading out from my house and dropping off right at home off Longden. If you don't see me there by 8:15 - don't wait!!

TJ's at Mission and Grand. We pick up Hungtinton at Fair Oaks and take it all the way to Santa Anita, and then down to Longden.

I'm waiting for the final word from my wife, but it looks like I'll need to be in Northridge by 10am, which means I'd have to be done by 9:30. I'd probably ride to the start to get an earlier start and more miles.

It's almost tempting to do the group 1 ride with the SFVBC and see if anyone wants to skip the rest stop, but the short routes with that club are monotonous and full of traffic. Their longer routes are nice, though.

If you think Montrose is too fast, then there are groups starts at TJ around 8, headed by PAA basically does the same Montrose Long route.

if anyone looking for the route, just go to Motionbased.com and search for Montrose or whatever related, someone must have post their data on it...I know I've done it a while back.

urbanknight, you could do the Montrose Ride and turn off on Santa Anita, which is at the end of the Campus Sprint. It'll take you up to Sierra Madre Blvd. where a left turn takes you back to Pasadena. It's one of many options.

Looks like I'm out for tomorrow. I guess I have to make sure and book something weeks in advance or my SO will make sure and pencil something in. :( Oh well.

I guess I'll go for a ride today at 4, instead. Maybe something hilly.

Sigh...I wish I could join tomorrow, but I can't. I'm doing a solo ride to Griffith Park and back (probably a solid 45-50). But I'm hoping to start so early that I'll need lights. :D You guys have fun not posing.

I'm planning on the short ride. If memory serves me correctly, we should be drinking cokes at Sierra Madre/Baldwin by 10:30 am. Come on ME .... join us ... I can almost guarantee I won't be with the pack all the way through.

I got this too late. My SO just called to tell me she's going out with friends tonight so I am deciding if I should drag myself out and do a short spin right now, but I feel so lazy today.

Sorry I had to cut short due to family obligations. I still managed to eek out close to 25 miles from it, though - it was fun!!

They ended up catching us on Cerritos. I ended up with 47.25 miles (including the start from Monterey Park up to TJ's in S. Pas).

I was there by 10:30 and I went long. Nice to see you guys sorry I couldn't get any names. I thought my group was heading back to San Dimas and I'd spent too much time posing in front of Starbucks. I didn't check this last night so when I was giving you guys posing lessons, I hadn't realized you weren't posing today.

I saw you guys when I was on my way out to meet the ride on Arrow. The group was probably 4 or 5 minutes behind you at that point. When I got to the finish and hadn't ever caught you guys, I figured you guys had done the short loop.

BTW those BF jerseys are very unique. When I saw you guys on Arrow going the opposite direction, I immediately recognized them.

I was waiting to jump in on Arrow with a team mate and Pat Caro when you guys came buy. We saw you coming and thought you were the break. We were trying to figure out who the fast new team was when I recognized the BF jerseys. I said "hey, I think I know those guys from the boards!". All I got from them was a "what boards?". Oh well. You had us impressed.

The main group was about 5 minutes behind you and we hit the usual lights. Naturally, it was Bigdraft drilling it at the front when they came by.

I pulled off early as my home is right on the route, took a shower and changed, then brought the family out to Beantown to ogle the fine bikes they had out there. Ran into roadfix/worker4youth/spingineer again and said hi to them -
