Clydesdales/Athenas (200+ lb / 91+ kg) - So it's gonna be a Wahoo, I think.

I have decided on the GF Wahoo. I compared it to the Giant Rincon and believe I will be better off with the Wahoo. The Rincon seemed luring because it came with a disc brake on the rear. After reading some threads, it seems that the disc brakes on lower models like this are just that, a lower model, and I am better off going with the GF because the components are a little better I think. It is equiped with a Deore derailleur vs. the Giant with the Alivio derailleur. Other than that components I think are pretty similar. The other big sell is the LBS itself, the Giant dealer bad mouthed the GF dealer the whole time, it made me uncomfortable. So I think that was the other big sell for the GF. Is there any other model under $500 I should be considering? Thanks for the help guys.

That is bad form on the other LBS part. Shop employees represent the Shop and if one shop bad mouths the other, then there is something wrong to be sure. A shop should stand on their MERITS and not by bad-mouthing another shop.

On the GF Wahoo. I was looking those over the other night at the shop and we have a couple that would fit my daughters. The Owner asked what I was up too and I told him, "Christmas shopping!" LOL!

Good Luck with your purchase!
