Hey guys I have a quick question, can you run a 30T chain wheel with a 9T driver? Also here's another question I know its stupid but whats a cassette wheel?

Technically, you could run that setup. It wouldn't be such a good idea since your gearing would be completely messed up, but it can be done.

A cassette hub is a hub that lets you run smaller gearing and is usually pretty durable and lasts a while.

Ok thanks fit, this was what i was thinking for my new gearing:

What do you guys think? Oh and i will be running a 25T chainwheel instead of a 30T.

I'd say that would be a bad idea. I've heard bad things about the hub, rim, and sprocket. Save up more money and get some parts of better quality.

Fit rider is being silly.

The sprocket is just fine, as is the wheel.

Unsealed bearings just need more attention and maintenance. Keep it greased and tight and you will be fine. My friend has an Eastern Cassette and it's very smooth. The rim isn't the best, but it's not bad for someone on a budget.

Well will the rim bend as easy as a single wall?

What im asking is will it last longer then a haro rim? Because mine is usless after about 6 months from scratches dents, bends etc.

It's stronger then most stock rims that come on completes. If i didn't have the money to piss into my bike i would be riding that wheel. To be honest.

Also how do i take off the sprocket from the bottom bracket? its a haro 3-piece bottom bracket.

Take an allen wrench to the bolts on the cranks.

When you get your cranks off and pull the spindle/BB with one crank on, there should be like a threaded washer holding the sprocket on. You only have to take the non-drive side crank off. Just take that washer off and the sprocket will come off.

Hammer and screwdriver

Hammer and screwdriver

You can try that, it wouldn't work for me though. I used a special kind of vice grips.

Ok thanks, but i put it in a vice (the sprocket) but with the hammer and screw driver method, the sprocket doesnt stay in place, it moves, how can i hold the sprocket in place so it cant move?

Oh and sorry about the pictures, i took them with my phone.

im pretty sure im gonna order that wheel some time today. i cant afford any wheels over 100$ so im gonna just go with that, as well as the sprocket, im not a hardcore biker, so it should be fine.

1 more question can the freewheel and the driver take 1/8" chain?
