If I were to go get a window AC unit today I'd feel a slight twinge of guilt, but it would be a pleasure.

You should Ron. They aren't too expensive ($250-$500 for a decent unit, and $500+ for really good). WELL worth it!

Yeah, I just saw that, had no idea they were so cheap. Really though, it gets pretty cool at night here so sleeping hasn't been a problem. It's just a little oppressive during the day. Of course, if I get one Murphys Law will dictate that the temperature will drop instantly.

Well, if that happens, you can then just give it to me. :D

7 of 9 was the pinnacle of sci fi women...

Without thinking it through yet, I'm going to have to go with Pris from Blade Runner. :)

If that were true Ron, you can provide relief to millions for a measly $500. Go for it.

I'll have to say, she's well worth second place, only because she has never looked that phenomenal in anything else, while Jeri Ryan has looked great in other stuff. JMNSHO

Wow, that store is still around? (of course, I'm not surprised as it is easily the cheapest, yummiest cookie store in the world). When I lived in Westwood back in 1990 (had just moved to LA), I was introduced to Diddy Riese. My friends and I would go out partying around the UCLA campus and then end up either at Tommy's (yuck...I never could stomach that) or Diddy Riese. I'd get the sugar cookies with vanilla ice cream in the middle. Yum. I won't go near that place now. Just the smell of those things would put five pounds on my rear end. :p

My parents have one too. When they go out they don't want to cool the whole house, so they leave the portable A/C on for the dog. I could sure use one of those too, but I don't rate. :(

I rarely turn on the central air in the house as it gets too expensive. Good thing I don't live in the nearby valley. :D
