View Full Version : Guilty Pleasures
Happytime

I found a tattered old copy of Crackpot by John Waters at the bottom of a drawer. He had a chapter called "Guilty Pleasures," in which he wrote about things he was ashamed to admit he liked (the films of Marguerite Duras, etc).
My guilty pleasures include:
• Those taco-like things at Jack-In-a-Box, 2 for 99¢
• Nellie Olson from Little House on the Prairie as Anti-hero
• Puccini
What are your Guilty Pleasures?
Sound off now....
1.As a guy, the film Almost Famous. 2.Girls Gone Wild commercials. I have yet to see a Girls Gone Wild video but I ask for one every year for Christmas, nobody gets it for me. 3. Coco Puffs.
• Those taco-like things at Jack-In-a-Box, 2 for 99¢
Growing up in NY..thats all we knew from tacos...a whole new world opened when I arrived here...but I still like em!!
Now back to your regularly scheduled thread!

Um, i'm too ashamed to admit them here?
I did like "You've Got Mail". I'd probably like most other Chick Flicks if i were to watch them.
I absolutely adore J-Pop music. I've spent too much $$$ on buying music (and other things) from websites like www.yesasia.com (http://www.yesasia.com) and www.playasia.com (http://www.playasia.com). All my friends think i'm crazy for spending $25+ for a single CD.
What about a Double Double animal style with regular onions, well done fries, and a neopolitan milkshake after a *cough*mere 20 mile flat*cough cough*ride? :D

My guilty pleasures include:
• Puccini
How is Puccini a guilty pleasure? Trashy stories are ok if they're in opera format.

We had some great maple fudge in the wilds of Canada last week, I'm surprised I survived it!

1. Foods: nachos from Taco Bell (fake cheese, ground "beef" and that highly addictive frickin' hot sauce), sugar cookies from Porto's Bakery (melt in your mouth), cupcakes of any kind as long as the icing is super sweet and thick, and bisquits and gravy (from anywhere really and it doesn't matter if the gravy is out of a can at this point in life :p)
2. Thai massages (I'm now officially addicted to this place in Studio City and a woman named Sarah. She is old enough to be my mother and, no, there is no "happy ending" other than me feeling the most balanced I can feel (which isn't saying much, actually :o)
3. Expensive scented candles (any kind), perfume that smells good on me (I'll pay whatever), pedicures and lacy panties (funny thing is, I rarely wear them for men - but I love to put them on and look at my butt in the mirror, flaws and all, in the morning. Lacy panties make any girl's butt look luscious :D)
4. When...um..."by myself"...I sometimes imagine this in my bed touching me in ways I never thought possible:

He could act out the back of a deodorant stick and I'd melt. I thought his brother, River, was dreamy too.
5. I agree with Ronjon - BF!:)

Exactly, I love that crap. The sad part is I'm chinese so I should know better. I don't think there are any Mexicans that love Jack In The Box tacos.

Orange chicken is great as well as sweet and sour pork... and those fried chicken balls in Chinese buffets (the fried flour with a small piece of chicken meat in the center)...
I get laughed at all the time by family and other Chinese friends whenever I go to buffets. :p

My wife. Her parents are both from Mexico and her mother makes the best Mexican food I have ever eaten. My wife loves those tacos, though. Before we started dating, she didn't eat meat. For some reason she tried those tacos and loved them. Someone told her they were soy (I don't know if that is true or not), so she felt better about herself.
