Routes in Cambria?

I'll be in Cambria for a couple of days and was wondering if anyone knew any nice scenic routes in the area?

Did a Great MTB ride in Montana De Oro, near SLO, just south of Cabria, if that's what your lookin' for.
Great hour or so ride, fantastic view of the coast from the top....
And then a Screaming downhill.... YeeeHaaahhhhh.............

I'm looking for a road route. I'm staying pretty close to the beach so if anything I'll just ride up and down the beach.

I don’t how long of rides you’re looking for or how much climbing also what time of the week you will be there. You can go north on Hwy 1 to San Simeon, Piedras Blancas Lighthouse (elephant seals just before) or on up to Ragged Point or farther. Going south on 1 you can go to Cayucos, Morro Bay, Montana de Oro, SLO or Avila or Pismo Beach. You can take Santa Rosa Creek Road inland from the east end of Cambria, beautiful road with some great climbs to Hwy 46 turn west (right turn) and it will take you back to Hwy 1 just south of Cambria. Or ride south on Hwy 1 to Cayucos and take Old Creek Road to Hwy 46 turn west (left turn) to Hwy 1, or go straight across 46 and it becomes Santa Rosa Creek Road back to Cambria. Just north of Cambria off Hwy 1 is San Simeon Creek Road is a great ride (out and back). If you want PM me with what you would like to do and I will see if I can help you.

There's a great climb right outside of Cambria. It's pretty steep in places, and is one of the most beautiful rides I have ever done. But it would be a rude awakening to hit the climb first thing. The best way IMO would be to ride PCH down to Cyucas and take Old Creek Road inland. It winds its way up thru oak studded hills and has a few short but very steep sections. You cross Hwy 46 (I think) and continue on where you come to another short but steep section the locals call the wall, once you get to the top, its all downhill to Cambria.
