Thanks everyone, I wanna dip under 200lbs but I really dont expect that to happen. Im 5'8 but I have a muscular build. Ive been riding a Gary Fisher Hybrid for a while now and this road bike is so much more enjoyable to ride. The speed and handleing are beyond my expectations.

Here is a link to my ride from this morning. Motion Based (http://trail.motionbased.com/trail/activity/3757097)

Thanks for all the positive feedback!

I love lacrosse :D
I gotta talk to some of my former team mates and see if there is a decent winter indoor lacrosse leaque. I dont think im going gunna be able to get much cycling in once we get past December.
Last leaque i played in was like 2 summers ago, I need to get back into it.

That is awesome! Great bike too! Specialized has some seriously sexy road bikes.

I have set myself a similar goal of 220lbs and then I start looking at a roadie. 25 pounds down....30 to go. lol

200 pounds is the same type goal for me. I'd like it but I just don't if I will do more than dip at it. ;)

unfortunatly lacrosse is in its infancy in my neck of the woods. (NorCal) so i didnt have any options after highschool and even then my highschool team had to travel hours away for games.

When I started playing (1994) Lacrosse in Brooklyn was unheard of. Now its actually really big in the City and the burbs around here have always been big into Lacrosse. Great sport, to bad alot of kids never had a chance to get exposed to it.

I told the better half today when I hit 299 I'm buying a single speed, and when I hit 225 I'm buying a roadie.. so how danged ironic!

So around 60 to go for goal one, and too far for goal two. But, plenty of time to pick out the goal two bike :D

Single Speed... Thats crazy, I always admire people who ride a single, that is some serious work!

I remeber we spoke about the New Madone 5.2, I finally got to test ride one at my LBS but I wasnt really that impressed. The Tarmac really blew me away and for the $$$ it was a better deal than the Trek.

Cant wait to see some pix of that single speed!

Great job on reaching the goal and the bike looks great! You must have been smoking today on your ride with an average heart rate of 185.....goood job

Are they still selling the Madone 5.2 for $1999 ? or is that sale over?

The 07's can be had cheap.... I bet with some work you could get it for even less than that.
I rode the 08 5.2 Performance Fit. I expected much more from it and it really didnt live upto its hype.
It does look amazing and the Ultegra SL groupo is great also.

As for the BPM I can normally stay in that range for my whole ride but today i actually hit my max @ 202bmp, My goal is to get my pace under 3min/ mile. Im getting close but thats gunna need alot of work.
