hey, my forks are topping out really hard. ive adjusted the rebound to the lowest setting, but it doesnt do anything. its a 2007 Norco Katmandu, the forks are some XC version of Suntours. i do some light dirt jumping, but mainly trials and some trail riding. thanks for the help!

Do you mean they get really stiff during descents?
or
When you left the front end they kick?
In both cases this has to do with low end damping. I know with low end marzocchis the fix has been two fold. Expand the flow hole for the oil to move quicker and change the oil density. I really don't know if this would be an option for sutours, sorry.

Fork doesn't equal bike. It sounds like both your forks have poor damping. Higher end forks don't do this usually

I have the same problem but my fork is a crappier manitou from '98.
Whenever I go to bunnyhop something and pull up on the fork, I get a big "clunk".
I would care a little more if it was a newer fork.

well the warranty may give you a new crappy fork that will still top out ... good luck on that.

o well, as long as its not as loud and painful sounding
I don't know about this particular fork but topout noise is usually due to worn-out or cracked top-out bumpers (a small elastomer bumper that cushions metal-on-metal contact). This would be the first suspect in my list of culprits to check (or have a shop check for).
It's going to be part no. 10 on this exploded view:

Edit - - crap, link doesn't work that way. Click this: http://www.srsuntour-cycling.com/SID=si16c81eabec0de5c610f13753f01c5f/index.php?screen=sh.detail&tnid=1228
and select the Exploded View PDF.
BTW, your Suntour XCT 75 doesn't have damping - - only spring preload.
