HI Guys,
I'm a newbie to these forums, Great source of info!

I've decided to make my next bike a custom... Looking like a Baum Ristretto Ti with Carbon rear stays, TIG welded. Nice.

Just a question, as many new carbon bikes are coming out with integrated seatposts (ie. Ridley Noah, Scott Addict, De Rosa Idol, Giant TCR Advanced etc...) why not have it on a custom Ti frame. I'm sure it can be done. The only custom Bike i've seen it done with is on a lugged Anatomic.

Please advise the potential benefits / negatives. On a carbon bike it supposedly makes it stiffer, lighter. I just think it looks cool!

I'm certainly not a tech head when it comes to construction techniques, although i'm learning quickly.

Thanks in advance.

There is much debate over if it really saves any weight, same with the stiffness.

Pros: looks cool
Cons: not really adjustable, can't ship it unless its freight.

I would just get it made traditionally.

Since this would be a custom frame you would basically be paying more to make your bike needlessly complicated. I don't get it.
