why do I re-direct there every time I click a link here at BF?

What links are you clicking? Google analytics is designed to help owners of web sites determine where visitors are coming from (so that ads can be better targeted). But since you don't have ads appearing...?

Anytime I click to go to a new forum, topic etc. my browser momentarily shows a connection to google-analytics.com. You're right, I don't see the ads so I guess it's wasted on me. Just slows page loading down for a few seconds.

What browser are you using. If you use Firefox with NoScript added, it will disallow it (if that's what you want) and there doesn't seem to be any consequence to disallowing it.

Interesting, I don't show that when I click on links, but that certainly explains the annoying and mysterious slow loading we've been experiencing lately.

Ooooo, they have to be hating me then.....
I shoot several random keywords every time I use my browser to short circuit datamining as well as every few nanoseconds randomly. It's a little browser plug in. ;)

I'm still trying to determine which keywords bring the big bucks/click ads to my blog.
Thanks for the advice LongFemur. I do use Firefox and it seems to have done the trick.
