anyone use these? I'm thinking of buying a pair and i just wanted your opinions. Road bike review said the pedals were nice, and the price is right so it looks like they are the right ones for me.

I have the Time challenge pro, and I really like Time products, the only thing that I have to say is make sure you can get plates for your shoes or you can get shoes that have plates for time, that was the hardest thing for me, since i didnt want to spend $300 on time shoes also

I use the Time ATAC mtb pedals on my road bike and love them and will probably chage over to the Impacts S in the near future. Just not ready to spend the cash now.

I use the Impacts on both road bikes and ATACs on MTB.
Excellent pedals. They feel very light under the foot due to the Large contact area. You can adjust the q-factor as well and the tension. Vey adjustable, very nice pedals.

I might ad that I have been Time pedals since 1988 with the original Time Racing. I still have htose pedals and save for the fact that they are very scratched and scraped from pedalsing through corners, the bearings have never been replaced and they still spin fine and without wobble. The impacts are smaller so you can lean more into corner and start pedaling agian sooner.

An excellent purchase if you decide to buy them.

I have the baseline Impacts..They are great pedals IMO.

They are light, they have a nice platform(wide) and have lots of tuning options. I highly recommend.

How are the times cleats to walk on?

I have never had a problem walikng on Look's and they offer a rubber cover for the cleat. Does time offer a rubber "coffee shop cover."

Yeah, i know the most important part is when you are on the bike, but humor me ;) I have to ride with the bike on the train sometimes.

take care,

The impact's cleat is fitted to a plastic base plate which has three large knobs, two at the rear and one in front, which allow youto walk with out damaging the cleat. Only the front knob is involved with engaging the pedal but is not necessary. It merely serves as a hook and guide.

They're excellent ot walk in if a bit high and are non slip (although you can slip if you step onto something slippery).
They aslo stable under foot when walking

Very well thought out pedals.
