Welcome, Cory. Don't let anyone talk you out of that front brake. It's presence on your bike - no matter what your skill level is - shows you have a brain and know how to use it effectively. :)
thanks for the welcome.
The front brake will stay no matter what. I can always take it off if I go to the track or whatever.

Hello Cory, donnamb gave you some good advice, and I'm pleased to see that you're going to keep that front brake.
When I first re-learned how to ride a bike, I was taught to use pretty much only the front brake, keeping the rear brake for emergencies. So, I know that that front brake is a very useful piece of equipment (unless, of course, you're on the track!).
Welcome to BF!

Hi Cory,
Welcome to BF! Knowing that you ride a fixed gear bicycle you fit in great in the SS/FG forum. By the way, it's great to know that 1) you ride fixed and 2) you live in Chicago for I was born and raised in Chicago and ride fixed as well. How you do like your Langster? I currently ride a Fuji Track SE and I love it. If you ever want to go on a ride you know where to find me.

I love the bike. I think I might out grow it (experience wise) faster than I expected.
I would love to ride with someone. I ride everyday rain or shine. I'm on the north side around boystown/lakeview, ride the lake shore trail mostly right now just because I don't know of anything better.
