GEARS Bike Shop is offering $3250. Doesn't seem like a spectacular deal, expacially considering that we're at end of season for 2007 bike stock. Any suggestions for other LBSs or online stores to check out?

Thanks.

Hi,
I was just in Gears last week looking for something and their prices are terrible. On a couple of items they were 20% to 50% over prices I've seen elsewhere. They have a good reputation for service, I think, but I wouldn't buy a bike there.

Dukes is ok. Service is iffy (but no worse than most places) and you should finds deals at this time of year. They sell Specialized. Sporting Life bikes (which isn't very good for service) often has great sales (and I think they sell Specialized) is another possibility.

Broadway Cycle at Bloor W. west of Dufferin is clearing their 2007's...I've bought several bike there, including my daughter's Specialized FSR...the best prices anywhere in Toronto...the owner took a bit more off as well

Contacted another LBS and they're asking $2800 -- I'll see if I can do better. Too bad for GEARS, the fitter I dealt with there was excellent.

Yes, Broadway or Bikedepot
There's a few stores you can tell won't deal. Those are the ones with 2006 Giants still...

Broadway and Bikedepot are always great for clearing out.
