Ok everyone newbie here. I had gastric bypass on July 10,2007. I started pre op at 459 lbs. and between my pre op diet and surgery have lost 92 lbs. to my current weight of 367 lbs.. I've got an older Trek 820 that I'm going to take to the shop and see if they can get it rideable again (my son was brutal to this bike). Even if they can I'm still looking to get a new bike also. That way my son can ride the 820 while I get the new ride. I'd like some opinions from you guy's so here's what I'm looking at so far :
http://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-US/bikes/lifestyle/1277/29338/ It's an '08 and I can get it for $400 I like the looks of the sedona dx alot. The other is http://www.specialized.com/bc/SBCBkModel.jsp?sid=08Crossroads Also an '08 and I can get it fo $440 This dealer I have bought several bikes from he is a Trek and Specialized dealer. I have asked about the Hard Rock Sport but he is against it for me. He says I would be better on a more upright style of bike. BTW I'm about 6'2 also. Thanks for any help anyone can provide.
