I pull my bike down off my rack today, get on, pedal a few strokes and realize something's not right. The rear tire is deflated completely. Weird... so, I put it on my car, go to class then end up driving to work at the bike shop. I start taking the wheel off and remove the tire and tube. The shop manager said that the flat was caused by my running 100psi on rimstrips that really aren't designed to have 100psi on them. All the rimstrips were indented over the nipple holes. The solution was to use a cotton rim strip over the rubber factory rim strip. We'll see if that'll hold 'em for a bit, until Christmas, when I'm asking for new wheels and tires.

Anyhow, just thought I'd share. And it only took 175 miles on those tires to flat them. AMAZING!!!

Wow - never heard of that before. Good to know!
