Mountain Biking - What is the best saddle?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Got it.
The pictures have relatively nothing to do with a saddle.

Ok I am not going to argue with you tonight about something ridiculous. But can you tell me why you are sorry for me?

I took from this thread that orange saddles are the best. What did you take from this thread?

Even if it's some fugly orange thing.
That bike is a fantastic mishmash of fugliness in technicolor.
Just wait until you see the Fuji track bike I picked up. It's hideous, but will get me in the door at Carson to ride some smooth wooden banks really fast.

Save for some extra grams, I never had issues with the old BigBoy :). The fat saddle was a rave with downhillers in the 90s. The other was Tioga's Multi Control DH - which someone dubbed 'The Sofa'.
I've had two Fi'zi:k saddles on my mtb. The Aliante and the Gobi. They are both nice saddles.

i once had post and saddle stolen (thanks quick release) and did my school and social commuting without.
i'd squat on the top tube sometimes..
Why care? MTBers never sit down.

Something tells me that many who have posted here have not actually read the first few posts in this thread.
