........or plan to get soon (hopefully)? :)
I need to start saving again. But this time I'd like an old lugged steel something or other.

Orbea looks really nice ... yea, I'm into flashiness.
I would love a Vanilla frame. The "V" dropouts and lugs are gorgeous. Too bad the waiting list is 4 years (as of February 2007) since Sacha White is the sole builder.

Cervelo Soloist Aluminum for Crit racing.
Been looking at a lot of SC nomad frames lately
Been looking at the cervelo r3-sl as well. But I can't even remotely begin to consider that at this point.

Moots and this really cool vintage steel Colnago a fellow club rider owns. I'm hoping he sells since he's got 8 bikes. He's the guy that smoked me climbing Cummings Skyway in Crockett. His bike weighs about 23 lb and only has a 12-21 cassette but it is a beauty.
Oooh, I'd love a vintage lugged steel Colnago with one of those really fancy paint jobs. Stylin' !

Something classic/nice or a beater? To build yourself?

I've been thinking about a nice cyclocross bike for trail riding. But for some reason information or choices are very scarce about CX bikes. And if I can get away with it I've also been eyeing this beautiful steel Guru bike. 18 pounds for a steel bike, yummy.

Stopped by the freewheel bike shop the other day. Wanted to compare what's available new with the used bike I bought. Ended up preferring my used bike to what was in my price range new. But a bianchi via nirone tiagra really caught my eye. Looked so sleek and fast, plus so light. But at $850 I'd have to sell my nice mtb.
With a baby on the way I'm resigned to the fact that a brand new high $$ CF bike is out of the question. So I'm looking into a frame... maybe a CAAD or BMC Road Race SL-01 or Streetfire SSX. Or maybe a used Soloist Team... anyone have a cheap 50cm frameset for sale and will take monthly payments? :p

I'm fresh out of bikelust at the moment. I just finished building one up, so it might be a while - especially if I like it as much as I think I'm gonna.

Another CAAD8, but with SRAM Force and Mavic open pro ceramic rims, instead of my current Shimano 105/ultegra mix. Not planning on getting it, but I wish I could. :(
I am weird carbon bikes just don't really do it for me. They are nice, but I rather have one of the best aluminum frames.
I'm going in on the Rob Roy group buy. Check out the Cyclocross forum for info.

I just finished building my CAAD 8 with Campy. I've only ridden a few miles with it, but damn it feels good!
I want to get a pista and turn it into a creamsicle.
Orange flavored creamsicle.

Okay, here is the deal. The frameset is a bit tight on the top tube for me. So now I've located a 53 which should fit me better and the guy wants 800 +S&H. I was thinking of a 3 way deal. I would take some $ out of my wallet just to get the 53 if that is all possible but I am not giving up my 52 if I can't get the 53.http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1247/1261251553_b832a543eb_o.jpg

I'd like to try something with a higher bottom bracket and 20" front wheel, like a used Rans V2, aluminum frame(they aren't made anymore). If I had money, I could always test ride a V3 and see if I like it.

Yep, gold ano but not TA though. I've been trying to build (re-build after the Dura Ace AX build plan didn't pan out) with DA 8sp group for the last 2 years but the project is stuck right now.

I've been eyeballlin' a fellow club member's Rock Lobster. Custom made and beautiful. I'm not buying any bike in the near future, but I sure like looking at that bike. It is rolling art.
Been eyeballin' a Black Bianchi Columbus. Price is $300 and its in good shape. Any opinions?

I've been eyeballing Trek 5200 OCLV's for about 2 months. I finally got one this weekend and I'm super stoked. Low miles, nary a scratch on it, full ultegra (triple), rolf vector comps, dura ace pedals, and flight deck computer for a great deal. My only gripe... I have yet to ride it. :(
Tomorrow, tomorrow, I love ya' tomorrow. You're only a day away...
I've been eyeing the low end Trek road bikes for awhile and last week I finally broke down and bought the 1500. My legs aren't what they use to be, so the triple up front is certainly nice. But what gives........I'm still suffering on those short climbs!

Okay, I give up. I decided to build my 52cm Paramount (http://batillog.blogspot.com/2007/12/50th-anniversary-schwinn-paramount.html) and it seems to fit nicely. If you guys wanted the 53cm Paramount I mentioned (http://www.serotta.com/forum/showthread.php?t=29728&highlight=Paramount) earlier, here it is. AFAIK it is still available.

I honestly can say I am perfectly happy with my current bike. It fits me like a glove: CAAD 8, with Force Group, and K-Force Wing Pro handlebars. But I will be getting Ridley Orion to ride on next season. :D

Umm, no.
Oh - I was just asking because the price was really good (like 60% of retail), but the paint job was really ugly. I like the one on that bike better.
JB
PS - here's the link for that buy. It says it ended on 12/14: http://www.liquidcycling.com/store/index.cfm
I'm jumping on the BD group buy like Gary#1 (steelblue) already did and getting the CF frameset and swapping over my current components to it. I only need to get an internal headset (and get it installed) and a 34.9 FD. Wish me luck on my first semi-build.

Wow MSRP on Orion with Ultegra SL is 3.7k! Even with discount to 2.5k there is no way I can afford that. I am poor grad student now. :D
