Introductions - Hello to all

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I am new here and trying to figure out how everything works. I'm anxious to post some pics of my ride but haven't a clue as to how to go about it. I couldn't even figure out how to add an avitar under my user name (just found out what an avitar is!) I am a novice to forum type sites in general however I am an avid ebayer. Try to keep explananations devoid of all jargon. I love vintage italian road machines! Thanks for lettin' me in.
Hi guy,
welcome aboard. I have been on the internet for several years; and I have never bothered with all that techy stuff. It changes too often. Why not just tell us?

1. Save your picture(s) on your hard drive. Pictures must be less than 102,400 Bytes. The file must be saved in any of several standard graphics formats: gif jpg bmp jpeg. The one that gives you the most bang for the buck is generally *.jpg.
2. On a new thread, or a reply (not a "quick reply"), at the bottom there is an "Attach File" with a "Browse"
3. Enter whatever text message you might like in your reply at the top, then Click on the "Browse", and locate your picture on your hard drive.
4. Press "Submit Reply"
5. You may only upload one picture per reply. Lately, I have been combining 3-4 pics in my "Power point" program (there are other similar programs) and saving them all as a *.jpg file. That way I can upload a single picture that has 3-4 pics in it.
For an example, please see:

I won't get into the Avatar right now.

Thanks for the tips. I would like to get back to the "what are you riding" section but I can't seem to find it. I'll pop in a pic here just to test the waters.
