Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

There's a bunch of you folks in Athens these days (track bike riders, I mean)... That's some intense riding...I don't know that I could deal. Props.

It's nice to ride a fixie in NYC--it's not that hilly! I'm in the process of painting and rebuilding my bike right now, butttttt I'll tell you about it.
I have a Colnago frame made under Windsor in Mexico in the '50s, a vintage Williams crank (late '50s early '60s?), custom bars (by me :) ), uhhh MKS Sylvan track pedals ?(too cheap for the Campagnolos), a really ****ty hub and tires that I plan on upgrading, gran compe stem...
My color scheme is going to be beige with a deep leather brown stripe on the seat tube and on the lugs and some faux gold leaf around the lugs because they're so pretty :)
I'll keep you posted. So far All I've got is the base coat on top of the primer.

Looks and sounds like a nice classic with a dash of hardcore thrown in. Looking forward to seeing more, especially your handlebar solution. That would be interesting as a DIY article on the SS/FG forum...
