Tandem Cycling - paint on brake surfaces for rev x

has anyone ever painted the brake surface on there spin rev x. i got one and am feeling the erge to do so. any suggestions or info from experience.

Can't say from experience, but I think it's a bad idea. Why? I believe a painted surface might very well have a considerably lower coefficient of friction than bare metal. I also think it would rub off after not too many miles, and it may load up the pads, too.
If you do paint them, let us know how it works out for you. I'm always interested in learning new stuff.

I've seen bikes with painted rims. Should be fine if you're riding a track bike. What are you planning to do with it?
