BMX - Hey question
Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
My friend is selling like a 2003 or 2004 Haro Mirra 540 16 inch. I think i may want a 16 inch to screw around on it would be really fun cause i rode 1, one time and i could do almost 360's out of the bowls and stuff, do you think it would be worth $50-$60.

If you have that much to throw out sure.
08-28-07, 08:37 PM
id go 40 if its stock.
It's a 2004 here's a link. It's in black. http://www.harobikes.com/2004/mirra360/ I have the money but idk if i'm gonna waste it. He doesn't want to go any lower then $50.
08-28-07, 08:43 PM
im not buying it.
08-28-07, 08:43 PM
If it's in good condition.
I think i'm going to buy it. I will try to fix it up, maybe give it a new paintjob. I haven't seen it yet though.

If you haven't seen it, it probably stinks.

Get a 20"
08-29-07, 08:35 AM
If you have $50 and it's in good shape, go for it i guess.
Yea i got it. It's hella sick. It's black, it has hecka skinny tires with some kenda's. I'm trying to decide if i should go brakeless. I'll get some pictures soon.

For $50 I would have bought it, they're pretty fun for tooling around. Brakeless is the way to be on such a small bike though unless you do some techy/trialsy stuff.
08-29-07, 09:14 PM
they are easy to stop. but mine is still the best.:)
08-29-07, 09:16 PM
No, mine is:
I have to get a updated picture with the suspension fork, disc brake and Romic rear shock.
Crap. Now to take the time to get the lever off. I don't have anything to get the grip's off, what's an easy way without and air pressorer.
Lives4music, then get get some pictures of your's and we'll have a contest...teeheee. Does anyone know any websites to buy parts for 16 inch.
08-29-07, 09:17 PM
Screw driver and water.
08-29-07, 09:18 PM
I don't want it to be loose though once i put it back on. How do you do it with water. Haha mine would own yours.
08-29-07, 09:20 PM
heawl naw it dont. wd-40 dries also and works like glue.
08-29-07, 09:21 PM
Ya, thats why you use water.
Pry up underneath it carefully with the screwdriver (use a flathead) and pour some water down it, then remove screwdriver and twist.
OK. Or i can just wait like tommorow and use a air pressorer. Also do you guys know any websites that sell 16 inch stuff? So the decision is brakeless or brakes.
08-29-07, 09:22 PM
I know of nothing for 16" bikes, try Nahsbar.com or something like that.
Haha. Ok what should i keep the water in?
08-29-07, 09:23 PM
A bottle? anything to pour some water in...
Do you think someone like me would be strong enough to twist it off. Last time it took like 15 minutes...
08-29-07, 09:30 PM
Use more water, or windex.
Then i just push it on right.
08-29-07, 09:31 PM
Ya, clean out the inside and smack 'er on.
08-29-07, 09:32 PM
just put 20" parts on like me:)
But like new tires, bar's, cranks, i'm not getting these but just wondering.
Also i was wondering. At the last bike check by Chrisgabriel, one of his bike's seat is like stripped so it's just the plastic. I was wondering if i could do it with this seat. http://www.harobikes.com/bmx/parts_detail.php?group=seats
It's the first one called like the H-Crest.
08-29-07, 09:40 PM
No, to much padding and wrong shape.
What are the cheapest seat's that can do that?
08-29-07, 10:10 PM
Go to danscomp and look at slim seats.
08-29-07, 10:30 PM
Just break it off. Brakes are useless.
Haha. I'm trying to decide, i want to try like abubaca's and stuff i can do them on my mountain bike, but i think it would be hella fun on a 16 inch. I took off all the stickers, and put some Dan's Comp stickers.
