For those of you who have never heard of Richard Sachs, he is a bicycle framebuilder, one of the frontrunners in the modern era of American framebuilding. His craftmanship is generally considered pristine and his style is traditional. This link was posted by Richard to the framebuilders forum at www.bikelist.org . I hope you enjoy it. Thanks for posting that link. The simple beauty of his painting and lugwork is the ultimate for me - not overstated like a Columbine would be, but beautiful and supremely functional at the same time. I especially like the quote about how he continues to "raise the bar" on his standards for frame building, even at his level.
